THE TRIUMPH OF JAN SKAMPA

Jan Skampa has become yesterday the first ever Czech player that wins an edition of the European Poker Tour, bringing home a fantastic prize of €682.000, as well as winning a sit at the EPT final in Monte Carlo.

After a hard final table and more than three hours disputing the final heads up with Eyal Avitan, the Czech obtained the victory.
The list of players that took part in the final table, and the prizes obtained by each of them is as follows:

DAY 1B

During the second day of this poker tournament, Jude Ainsworth and Bertrand Grospellier fought to be the chip leader, which by the way kept the German Marc Gork, who had accumulated during the day 1 A a total of 169.000.

Between the players that survived the day 1 A and 1 B, a total of 382 will be starting the second day.

Some popular poker players were eliminated during this day, as for instance, Boris Becker, Bario Minieri, Johny Lodden and the famous online poker player Ziigmund.

DAY 1 A RESUME

After its stop in Portugal, the European Poker Tour arrived now to Prague. This popular poker tournament will be taking place at the Hilton Hotel of that city and this will be the last stop of the tour in 2009.

A total of 219 players took part in the first day of Poker tournament, whose buy in was €5.250. At the end of the day, Marc Gork was the player with more accumulated chips, closely followed by Rui Cao.
